St. Matthew’s Good News – 1/26/2024

The Lord has truly blessed and sustained the covenant family of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church this year. We welcome both members and attenders alike to come and share in our reporting for 2023 and look forward with us as we plan and follow the Lord’s leading in 2024.

Outreach for Winter
YES, there is a place for gently-used winter wear! Coats, snow pants, gloves, mittens, scarves and hats can be placed in the Big White Box in the hallway for donation to the Giving Fence. Remember, NEW items for the Mitten Trees, GENTLY USED for the Big White Box. Thank you! The Outreach Committee

ANOTHER Outreach Opportunity for St. Matthew’s
The cold is now upon us and it is especially hard for those people living in the “tent city” on the west side of our communities. Please donate clean blankets (used or new) to help keep them warm. Rose Adams is delivering these much needed blankets beginning this Sunday, 12/31. Blankets will be gathered in the Parish Hall, on one of the half-round tables (just look for others) and thank you for sharing these vital gifts.

Annual Meeting Reminder
St. Matthew’s Annual Meeting will be held this Sunday, January 28th. We will have one service at 10:00 AM. Shortly following the service, we will begin our meeting. A light lunch is provided before and during the meeting. If you have any questions regarding the two amendments to our constitution (and by-laws) to be ratified, please see last year’s meeting minutes posted on the bulletin board outside of the church office. You are also welcome to speak with Rex or Fr. Tom with any questions.
