St. Matthew’s Good News – 1/12/2024

This Sunday we begin looking at the letter of Paul to the Philippians in Holy Scripture. Over the next few months, we are going to consider very specific ways that both Paul and the faithful churches in Philippi chose to be the “epiphany light of Christ” to this Roman Province. How could Paul and these new believers keep their joy in Christ and stay faithful to him while under constant pressure from the powerful and intimidating Roman authorities?

See you Sunday!

Fr. Tom

ANOTHER Outreach Opportunity for St. Matthew’s
The cold is now upon us and it is especially hard for those people living in the “tent city” on the west side of our communities. Please donate clean blankets (used or new) to help keep them warm. Rose Adams is delivering these much needed blankets beginning this Sunday, 12/31. Blankets will be gathered in the Parish Hall, on one of the half-round tables (just look for others) and thank you for sharing these vital gifts.

2024 Vestry Openings
Those confirmed members of St. Matthew’s who are interested in serving on the Vestry (our administrative council), please see the bulletin board for the duties and responsibilities. We then ask you to talk with either Rex Schaeffer or Fr. Tom.
